Hovslätts IK was one of 25 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Vilancupen 2018. They participated with two teams in Pojkar 13 and Pojkar 15 respectively. Two teams played until Avslutningsmatcher in Slutspel A; Pojkar 13 P-05 won over Lindome IBK Grön by 6-5 and Pojkar 15 won over IBK Lund P03 Victoria by 7-4.
In addition to this, Hovslätts IK have participated in Vilancupen before. During Vilancupen 2017, Hovslätts had one team playing in Pojkar 14. The team in Pojkar 14 made it to the the Final in Slutspel Aand won it over GS86 by 4-2. Hovslätts comes from Jönköping which lies approximately 79 km from Skara, where Vilancupen takes place. Other than Hovslätts IK, the club Mullsjö AIS does also originate from the area around Jönköping.
